Red Sands Movie Review
Ok, so I saw this movie trailer and thought this movie had some promise. Group of Army Soldiers out in the desert on assignment. In Iraq or somewhere like that. Anyway, movie involves a series of events that kills off soldiers in various ways. Only, promise is this movie has no idea what kind of a horror movie this is. Did the guy shoot the genie dirt statue and unleash something? Is it the sargent is nuts and he kills his soldiers? Is it the native girl thats some sorta of a creature killing? All of the above? This movie wasn't particularly scary, gory, or even had much of a idea what it was supposed to be. It was confusing and flat ass dragged in a lot of spots. Acting was pretty good. Shane West was good as a soldier and the guy that played the sarge is pretty damn good. JK Simmons has like 2 minutes of actual screen time and they put his name on the top billing. Bastards. I give this like 2.5 out of 5 axes. Just for the interaction between the soldiers which is good. A rent on the cheap rack only folks.
