The final estimates for the weekend are in. Monsters University grabbed a monster $82 million at the box office. A massive number for any flick.
It would take a monster effort to hold off the country's love for zombies. Brad Pitt's World War Z killed it's way to $66 million dollars. In most weekends that would have been plenty to have grabbed the number 1 spot. Does make you wonder about opening against Monsters University.
Man Of Steel continues to show it can hold it's own during a record setting June. It swooped in with $41 million dollars. And still averaged $9,000 per screen. Wow. That's $210 million for the Justice League member and $283 million world wide. Some estimates are saying with promos and box office it's made $225 million in profit already.
Fast and Furious 6 grabbed $4.7 million. It has grossed $228 million in the USA and a insane $645 million worldwide.
