Crank 2: High Voltage Movie Review

Crank 2: High Voltage Movie Review

Ok, so I understand this isn't a horror movie. But, hell this is my site. So. Blah. And I finally got to see the sequel to Crank. It finds us picking up with the adventures of our friend Chev Chelios and his Jason Voorhees like unbending rage to not die. Now you may be thinking. Wait. This mutha fucker fell out of a helicopter. Well, it just so happens he didn't bite it (thought he came close). And right after he hit the ground he got scraped off the pavement to have his organs harvested. Mainly, his heart. Just so happens Chev wakes up. But, not before these Chinese bad mutha's stole his heart to give to some mob boss. Now, I have to confess I am a massive Jason Statham fan. This mf is great in everything Snatch, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, The Transporter Trilogy, etc. So I went in to this pretty pumped up. Now some people say nobody would live from that fall. Well, it so happens I think actually 1 in like 10,000 people to take that kind of a fall does live. But, lets be honest. If you go in to this movie with a close mind and all its got to be by the book. Then kindly kick the movie back out of your dvd player and take it back. The Crank movies are based on a heavy metal rock out with your cock out action no holds barred ride. They aren't going to be by the book. And if they were they would suck. The action is non stop from the beginning with plenty of moments that will make you smile. And a shoot em' up ending that well is just wonderful. Lotsa of shit talking and guys and girls getting the shit shot and kicked out of them. I say get up and go see this in the theater and then immediately go to the local Hastings and buy it when it hits dvd. To add to your Crank dvd collection. Amy Smart and the wonderful Dwight Yoakam return. And Dwight is on point as a pimp mf not taking no shit washed up doctor. I give this 4.0 out of 5.0 axes. I am ashamed that people will go see shit like 17 Again or whatever and the fuck. But, not these movies. They are a hell of a ride.
